This is because you’ll have access to sensitive information like commission statements, reports, tracking new business and client details. After you’ve registered you’ll need to log in with your user name and password every time you visit the site. The login process acts as your secure key.

Online transactions

Once you’ve registered as a financial adviser, you’ll have access to the following:

  • Your details – You have access to your company’s details or your personal details if you are registered as an individual intermediary. This enables you to pick up any omissions or changes we need to be aware of, including instant access to the latest information on your business like commissions, tracking reports.
  • Your news and updates – We’ll keep you informed about upcoming events and will give you important, relevant information.
  • Get more product information about Discovery Health, Discovery Life, Discovery Invest, Discovery Vitality and DiscoveryCard.
  • Download updated application forms, sales brochures, marketing material and information to take care of the day-to-day administration of your business.

Accreditation

  • You can write accreditation exams at any time.
  • These exams are marked immediately, and you’ll receive an online certificate if you pass the exam.
  •  Accreditation status reports indicate whether or not you are accredited for the Discovery Health, Discovery Life and Discovery Invest products.

       Tracking new business

  • Financial Advisers can now become proactive in getting new business processed.
  • Reports are real-time.
  • Consolidated view of all cases in the new business pipeline – segmented under the various new business stages, for example Application in Capture Process, Underwriting, New Business Requirements, etc.
  • Instant access to New Business Requirements, Underwriting Requirements, Counter-offer Letters and Letters of Acceptance.
  • You can download, email or fax these requirements directly to the relevant client, therefore eliminating the risk of losing hard copies.

Credit control

  • Credit control reports are available online for both Discovery Health and Discovery Life clients who are in arrears.
  • Life reports are real-time.
  • The report segments cases into suspended cases and withdrawn cases.
  • Real-time feedback can be submitted directly to Discovery Life online regarding a Life policyholder’s intentions (for example lapse, double debit, force debit, manual payment or service alteration request) – an industry first!

Commissions

  • Electronic statements identical to hard copies.
  • Health commission statements are available at financial adviser and intermediary house levels immediately after close-off each month.
  •  Life commission statements are available at financial adviser level on a daily basis.
  • Old statements are archived on the website, thus eliminating the need to print statements.
