Vitality kids older than 2 years and younger than 18 years can watch movies for free at selected cinemas before 7pm - simply complete an online Kids Vitality Health Review. Complete the Kids Vitality Health Review every 12 months to keep the Vitality Kids movie benefit. Applicable to Vitality Health members only.

Here is what you need to do to get started enjoying movies for up to half price with Vitality and Ster-Kinekor.

Download the Discovery app from the App store or Google Play. Then, log in to the Discovery app.

Tap on Vitality > Get rewarded > Rewards.

Scroll down to Movies > Activate and follow the steps to enjoy up to half-price movies!

How it works

Download the latest version of the Discovery app and activate the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit to get started.

To access your digital Vitality Ster-Kinekor card, go to the 'Digital cards' section on the Discovery app.

All Discovery Vitality members including dependents can enjoy Vitality movie rewards. As the main member, your digital card will be updated to include all of your dependent’s card numbers so that you can book discounted movies for everyone to enjoy.

 

How to save on movies at Ster-Kinekor with Vitality movie rewards

Log in to the Discovery app and go to Vitality Health > Rewards > Movies > Learn more to access your digital movie card.

Tap on Book now to reserve your up to half-price tickets with your card number.

You can also access your digital movie card in the app by tapping on the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner and scrolling down to Digital cards.

Vitality movie rewards are available for a 2D, 3D as well as a Cinema Nouveau movie ticket. You get 25% off for a Cine Prestige, NT Live or IMAX movie ticket.

 

How to redeem a popcorn reward with Vitality Active Rewards on the Discovery app

 

  1. In the main menu, select Vitality
  2. Click on Vitality Active Rewards
  3. Select Rewards and Plays
  4. Select View Rewards
  5. Under Shop by partner scroll to and select Ster-Kinekor
  6. Redeem your Discovery Miles for a small or regular popcorn reward

What you need to know

Any Vitality Health or Vitality Active member with an active Vitality membership is eligible for the Ster-Kinekor movie benefit. To get started, download the latest version of the Discovery app and activate the benefit from there.
Children between 2 and 18 years old on a Vitality Health policy can watch movies for free before 7pm at selected cinemas once a Kids Vitality Health Review has been completed online.
To keep the free movie benefit, the main member or spouse must complete an online Kids' Vitality Health Review every 12 months or at the beginning of every year.
Ster-Kinekor no longer issues physical movie cards. To access your free digital Vitality Ster-Kinekor card, download the latest version of the Discovery app. You can then access your digital Vitality Ster-Kinekor card in the digital cards section on the main menu. iOS users can view their digital cards in the Apple Wallet app.
All card numbers will be added to the main member's digital card so that they can book for everyone on their membership and enjoy discounted movies together.
Yes, simply use your digital Vitality Ster-Kinekor card when making your online booking to ensure you get your discount.
You can use the Vitality Ster-Kinekor benefit each time you visit the cinema. However, you can only watch a single movie once at the Vitality rate. If you want to watch the same movie a second time, you must pay the normal Ster-Kinekor rate for it. You also cannot book multiple movies for the same time slot.
