How often can I update my main partner for HealthyGear?

You can change your main partner once every 12 months on the HealthyGear page. This needs to be done by the main member on the Vitality membership.

How do I activate Vitality HealthyFood benefit?

Simply go to the Vitality HealthyFood benefit page where you can start your activation.

You will be guided through a simple online activation process.

Tip:You need a Woolworths WRewards, MySchool, MyVilllage or MyPlanet card to activate the HealthyFood benefit with Woolworths. If you have a MySchool, My Village and MyPlanet card, you will need to ensure that you have granted permission for Woolworths to share your information with Vitality to complete your activation. To grant permission visit www.myschool.co.za or call 0861 502 050.

I haven't received my Vitality HealthyLiving (HealthyFood/HealthyCare/HealthyGear) reward?

Vitality Health Members

A single HealthyLiving payment will be made every cycle provided that the total amount exceeds R50. If your total reward is less than R50, this will be carried over to the following month and paid out with the next month’s reward (provided the amount exceeds R50). We may change this minimum amount at any time.

Reward payments carried over do not earn interest. An SMS will be sent to you once the reward has been paid.

Discovery Bank client

If you are a Discovery Bank client with Vitality Money, your reward will be paid in Discovery Miles into your Discovery Miles Account. The R50 limit rule before pay out no longer applies. A separate HealthyLiving payment per HealthyLiving partner and reward programme will be made every reward cycle. You can view your reward payout on your Discovery Miles statement in your Discovery Bank app.

How do I activate Vitality HealthyCare benefit?

Tip: Vitality members 18 years and older, who have a Clicks ClubCard or Dis-Chem HealthyCare card can activate the Vitality HealthyCare benefit.

GET A PARTNER CARD IN-STORE

  • At Clicks complete the enrolment form at your nearest Clicks store to get a Clicks ClubCard.
  • At Dis-Chem apply for a Dis-Chem HealthyCare card online at www.dischem.co.za or in a Dis-Chem store. Collect your card at your nearest store.

How do I earn my Vitality HealthyCare reward?

Purchase from a wide range of HealthyCare products and ensure that the cashier swipes your partner card before they ring up your purchases.

Tip: Your Vitality HealthyCare rewards are converted into store loyalty points and paid into your partner card, i.e. Clicks ClubCard or Dis-Chem HealthyCare card.

I haven’t received my Vitality HealthyCare reward

Vitality HealthyCare rewards for Vitality Health only members are converted into store loyalty points and paid into your partner cards. To view your HealthyCare rewards, visit your profile on www.clicks.co.za or www.dischem.co.za.

As a Discovery Bank client, your Vitality HealthyCare rewards are awarded as Discovery Miles and paid into your Discovery Miles account. You can view your rewards on your Discovery Miles statement in your Discovery Bank app.

Vitality HealthyCare does not apply a R50 limit rule before awarding your HealthyCare reward pay out.

For example: You earned Vitality HealthyCare rewards of R40 in January. Vitality Health only members will receive R40 in store loyalty points loaded onto your applicable partner store card and Vitality Health and Vitality Money and Vitality Money only clients will receive R40 in Discovery Miles loaded into your Discovery Miles account.

The date on which you receive your reward payout varies per policy. You can call 0860 99 88 77 to find out what your reward cycle date is.

What is Vitality HealthyCare?

The Vitality HealthyCare benefit helps you to take better care of yourself and your family through prevention and makes every day personal care easier and more affordable with up to 25% back on HealthyCare items at Clicks or Dis-Chem.

How do I choose and change my preferred HealthyCare partner?

  • During the activation process you will be need to select either Clicks or Dis-Chem as your main partner.
  • Once you have chosen your main partner, the main member can change it once every 12 months.
  • You will get up to 25% back at your main partner and up to 10% back at the other partner.
  • If you were an existing HealthyCare member, you will not have to activate the benefit again.
  • Clicks or Dis-Chem will be your main partner, depending on which benefits you previously activated.
  • You can change your preferred partner online.

Why am I getting points on my loyalty cards and not rewards into my account?

Your Vitality HealthyCare reward is converted into points and paid into your partner cards. Login to your partner websites to view the points you have earned by purchasing HealthyCare products at our partner stores.

When you purchase HealthyCare items at either Clicks or Dis-Chem it is easier for you to redeem your reward at the partner where you earned it.

Which HealthyCare products qualify for rewards?

The new Vitality HealthyCare range will consist of selected products in the following categories:

  • Baby Care
  • Eye Care
  • Fitness and wellbeing
  • Sun care
  • Dental care
  • Foot and hand car
  • Emergency car
  • Self-car
  • Clinical services
  • Over-the-counter (schedule 1 and 2) medicine
  • Chronic care
  • Selected health and fitness devices
  • Products to stop smoking

How do HealthyCare rewards work?

  • You can earn up to 25% back on HealthyCare items from Clicks or Dis-Chem.
  • When you activate the HealthyCare benefit, you qualify for up to 10% back on HealthyCare products at Clicks and Dis-Chem.
  • Choose your main partner and find out your Vitality Age to get up to 15% back at your main partner and up to 10% back at the other.
  • You and your spouse (if applicable) need to find out your Vitality Age every 12 months to increase or keep your rewards at up to 15% back.
  • Complete a Vitality Health Check to get up to 25% back at your main partner and up to 10% back at the other.
  • You and your spouse (if applicable) need to complete a Vitality Health Check every 12 months to increase or keep your rewards at up to 25% back.
  • Swipe your Clicks ClubCard at any Clicks till or your Dis-Chem HealthyCare card at any Dis-Chem till before the cashier rings up your items to earn rewards on HealthyCare items.

Is there a limit on my HealthyCare reward?

  • Your reward is based on the percentage you have qualified for, your Vitality points and the monthly limit on your Vitality membership.
  • To work out how much, you get back, we apply your qualifying reward percentage to your HealthyCare spend in the month.
  • The percentage is either 10%, 15% or 25%, depending on all the health checks you have completed.
  • As a family, you can get rewards on a maximum of R4 000 a month that you spend on HealthyCare items.
  • As a single member, you can get rewards on a maximum of R2 000 a month that you spend on HealthyCare.
  • Your HealthyCare spend that you get rewards on is also limited to the number of Vitality points you have for the year. So, make sure you keep doing healthy activities to earn Vitality points.
  • We will pay your HealthyGear reward into your nominated account every month.
  • Only the main member on the Vitality membership may select the chosen bank account and is the person responsible for making sure the details are correct.

When will I get my HealthyCare reward?

  • As a Discovery Vitality member you will receive your points after each billing cycle and if you are a Discovery Health member you will receive it at the end of every month based on your qualifying spend.
  • Transactions that qualify for rewards that are linked to dependents younger than 18 will be paid into the main member’s loyalty card.
  • We will not send statements that show your rewards. You can see a summary of your cash back on www.clicks.co.za or www.dischem.co.za.
  • You pay tax on rewards you earn.
  • Please get your own tax advice on benefits you may receive in terms of these rules.
  • Discovery will not be responsible for any tax consequences that may arise.

How are my HealthyCare rewards allocated?

  • Your Vitality HealthyCare rewards are calculated every month.
  • Your rewards will be converted into store loyalty points and paid into your store card after each reward cycle, and you can view these details online onwww.clicks.co.za or www.dischem.co.za.
  • Vitality members will not earn Vitality points for buying HealthyCare items

What about my MedSaver and ChroniCare reward?

Previously, Discovery Health offered MedSaver at Clicks and ChroniCare at Dis-Chem. These benefits were also available to Vitality members. Plus, the following benefits were offered by Discovery Vitality: Vitality Clicks ClubCard vouchers and HealthyCare.

The HealthyCare benefit combines all four of these benefits into a more comprehensive and simplified benefit.

You will still earn rewards for MedSaver and selected ChroniCare items. MedSaver will fall under the ‘Over-the-counter’ (schedule 1 and 2 medicine) and ChroniCare now falls under the ‘Chronic Care’.

How will I identify HealthyCare products in-store?

You will see a Vitality HealthyCare stamp on the shelf if the product falls under this benefit. You will also see “VIT” or “V” next to HealthyCare products on your till slip after you’ve made your purchase.

Will I earn Vitality points if I use Vitality HealthyCare?

You cannot earn Vitality points for buying HealthyCare items.

Will I get a HealthyCare card?

If you already have a Clicks ClubCard or Dis-Chem card, your ID number will be linked to your cards online and you will not need another card.

If you activate HealthyCare and you do not have a Clicks ClubCard or Dis-Chem HealthyCare card, you will need to apply and collect these at your nearest store.

How do I activate Vitality HealthyGear benefit?

Simply go to the Vitality HealthyGear benefit page where you can start your activation. Simply activate the benefit and we will send you a Vitality HealthyGear card which you can use at both stores.

Tip: Vitality members 18 years and older can activate the Vitality HealthyGear benefit.

How do I earn my Vitality HealthyGear reward?

Once you have activated the benefit, you will receive an SMS confirming your activation, plus your unique card number so that you can start using the HealthyGear benefit immediately. Simply present your HealthyGear card number at the partner till point or swipe your HealthyGear card and get rewarded on HealthyGear items.

Tip: if you have had multiple Vitality HealthyGear cards, call 0860 99 88 77 to verify that the HealthyGear card you are using is the card that is linked to your account. If your HealthyGear card is not linked to your account you will not get rewarded for your purchases.

I haven’t received my Vitality HealthyGear card, can I still earn rewards?

You can start using the HealthyGear benefit immediately. You can find your HealthyGear card number on the HealthyGear page on the Discovery website. Log in to the Discovery website and navigate to Vitality, select Rewards and then select ‘Learn more’ on the HealthyGear module.

Your Vitality HealthyGear card is delivered via the post and take 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered. If you have not received your card within 3 weeks, you can order a new card here. If you still have not received your Vitality HealthyGear card, you can call us on 0860 99 88 77 and we will assist in getting your card delivered to you.

Simply present your HealthyGear card number at the partner till point OR if you have a physical HealthyGear card swipe your HealthyGear card and receive rewards on selected Vitality-stamped items.
 

How often can I update my main partner for HealthyGear?

You can change your main partner once every 12 months. This, however, can only be done by the main member on the Vitality membership.

What HealthyGear products qualify for rewards?

You can earn rewards on most HealthyGear items at Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports stores.

  • Products that qualify for HealthyGear rewards are chosen at our discretion and may change from time to time.
  • We work closely with our partners to ensure the products included are safe and promote a healthier lifestyle. Every effort has been made to choose the best quality products to promote overall health and wellness.
  • There is a list of recreational and leisure products, supplements and other products that will not qualify for rewards.
  • Products listed in these catalogues can change at any time.
  • The following items included in the HealthyGear benefit are all directly used for taking part in fitness and active, physical activities (as opposed to hobbies and sedentary activities):
    • Footwear
    • Apparel
    • Sports equipment
    • Fitness devices
    • Exercise equipment

How do HealthyGear rewards work?

  • You can earn up to 25% back on HealthyGear items from Sportsmans Warehouse or Totalsports.
  • When you activate the HealthyGear benefit, you qualify for up to 10% back on HealthyGear products at Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports.
  • Choose a main partner and complete both a Vitality Age assessment and a Vitality Fitness Assessment at a biokineticist in the Vitality Wellness Network or at a Vitality Wellness Centre to increase your HealthyGear rewards up to 25% back at your main partner and 10% back at the other partner.
  • You and your spouse (if applicable) need to do both the Vitality Fitness Assessments every 12 months to increase your rewards or keep it at up to 25% back.
  • By doing these fitness assessments, you’ll uunderstand your fitness level and how to improve it. The Vitality Elite Fitness Assessment can also boost your rewards.
  • Swipe your Vitality HealthyGear card at any Sportsmans Warehouse or Totalsports store before the cashier rings up your items and enjoy rewards on HealthyGear.

Is there a limit on my HealthyGear reward?

  • Your reward depends on the percentage you have qualified for, your accumulated Vitality points, your accumulated qualifying spend and the monthly limit on your Vitality membership.
