This year is no different as we bring you enhanced Vitality Drive rewards and benefits, legal support and more. Here is a brief summary of what you can expect from 3 December 2018.
Enhancements to the Vitality Drive programme
Bosch car servicing discounts
We know how important your car is to you, and part of that importance is taking good care of your car and making sure that it is safe to drive. That is why we have partnered with Bosch to give you discounts on your car maintenance and service costs based on your Vitality Drive status. All you have to do is show your Vitality Drive card or ID number to get your discount.

Improved Uber benefits for Essential Plan clients
Now all clients with an Essential Plan can benefit from Uber discounts. Get 10% off Uber trips all hours of the day. This benefit will replace existing Uber discounts on the Essential Plan. The benefit is limited to a R1000 Uber spend every month. Click here to learn how to activate this benefit.
Plan enhancements
Introducing the Purple Plan
The Executive Plan will now be known as the Purple Plan. To qualify for the Purple Plan, you need to have at least R5 million in insured assets. All of the same exclusive benefits, just with a new name.
Replacement value of written off vehicles
If you are on the Purple (previously Executive) Plan and your vehicle is written off, we will pay the replacement value of a new vehicle of a similar make and model at the date of loss. This will only apply if the written-off vehicle is less than 24-months old (previously 12 months) from first registration.
Cellphone upgrade
All qualifying Purple (previously Executive) Plan clients can upgrade to the latest Apple or Samsung phone every year. To qualify for this benefit you need to have at least two cars, buildings and household contents insured and be claims free for 12 months on the Executive Plan. You will have to trade in your old smartphone and Discovery Insure will pay the difference between your current smartphone and the upgrade, up to the value of R10 000.
Easy and affordable legal support available online
Through our partner, Origin Systems, all of our clients can now get easy and affordable online or telephonic access to a range of quality legal services.
The standard benefit is automatically included in your plan and you will be able to upgrade to a higher level of cover for an additional R20 a month. This benefit's services can be accessed through the Discovery website, www.discovery.co.za, or by calling the Origin Systems specialist legal call centre on 0860 222 240. Enhanced Auto Claims
You can now submit your geyser, vehicle glass, cellphone and electronic equipment claims online or on your smartphone. Our automated claims agent will then determine if your claim can be approved within minutes. If your claim it is not instantly approved, it will be redirected to a claims agent who will finalise you claim.
