Bringing patients and healthcare providers together through technology
At Discovery Health, as an administrator of medical schemes, we aim to continuously improve the Discovery app's functions to allow medical scheme members to get the most out of their health plan at their convenience.
In addition to tracking benefits, submitting claims and finding a healthcare provider, in the year ahead we will give medical scheme members the opportunity to connect with their doctors when they need it most, as well as rate their service providers.
In the meanwhile, our HealthID app is used by 1.3 million medical scheme members and 3 000 healthcare providers, improving the quality of healthcare you receive. We are also working with healthcare professional associations to report on hospitalisation, including information like death rates, hospital-acquired infections and re-admissions. The aim is to improve the feedback process, helping you to make better informed choices.
