The Find a healthcare provider feature is now better than ever
"Our app has always given members the ability to find a healthcare provider. Members will be thrilled with the app's latest enhancements," explains Dr Nematswerani.
The enhanced feature will now allow members to do all this and more:
- Find doctors and hospitals near you in our network.
- Filter to find specific doctors to suits your needs
- Check your cover for your care specific-conditions
- Search a hospital and find all doctors available at that facility
- See a doctor's practice information
- Get directions to the doctor or hospital and navigate to them.

"Examples of this include the electronic health record -Discovery HealthID - which gives doctors seamless access to your health history and enables them to make better treatment decisions.
"Now, we encourage our members to use the find a healthcare provider functionality on the Discovery app to help them to access the best care, when they need it," adds Dr Nematswerani.
