Vitality high performers

The purpose of the endurance and high performance category is to cater for individuals who participate in higher volume endurance exercises, training at low to moderate intensity average heart rates for longer durations.

To qualify for this category you need to:

  • Have a fitness device tracking your heart rate that is linked to the Discovery Vitality app.
  • Engage in a combination of longer duration, low to moderate intensity workouts.
  • Complete an application form to ensure that you are doing an adequate volume of exercise and have medical clearance to exercise.

Members who are at-risk with certain chronic conditions, health concerns during pregnancy, or members aged 65+ with risk factors are not eligible for the Endurance and High Performance category.

Members enrolled in the Programme may opt out of the Programme at any given period with the option of reverting to participation in the Vitality Active Rewards Programme (subject to a lower goal cap) as a result of circumstances which include (but are not limited to) changes in medical status or training volumes/frequency.

What you

NEED TO KNOW

This is for highly active Vitality members with a high training volume (doing longer workouts more frequently at varying intensities) and who regularly participate in endurance race events like marathons, triathlons etc. These Endurance and High Performance members typically exercise at lower heart rates for longer periods of time, and we want to recognise ongoing dedication and efforts when it comes to both training and competing.

If you qualify for the Endurance and High Performance category and have activated Vitality Active Rewards, your maximum weekly goal is set at 1 200 (opposed to the current 900 maximum target) with additional ways to earn fitness points. Endurance and High Performance members typically exercise at lower heart rates for longer periods of time and we want to recognise your ongoing dedication and efforts when it comes to both training and competing.
