This introduction to Discovery Health Medical Scheme (the Scheme) is provided to you by Discovery Connect Distribution Services (Pty) Limited, Registration Number 2015/173165/07 ("Discovery Connect"), an independent registered financial services provider (FSP No ___46336______). Discovery Connect is responsible for the outcome of the quotation on this platform.
The purpose of the tools on this platform are to enable you to obtain information on comparable Scheme plans ("Comparable Plans") to your current medical scheme plan offering for your own comparative benefit. The information we provide to you is factual information relating to a number of plan types - registered by the Scheme - that are most likely to align to your financial capabilities and the key considerations you have highlighted. The quote is based on the information and disclosures based on the client input on the tool and is subjected to change based on the discussion with the Discovery representative. The information should not be considered as a recommendation of the most appropriate plan type for you, but as a plan recommended for a person of your financial capabilities. It should also not be deemed to represent the rendering of any financial advice to you.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the facts we reflect on this platform, whether relating to our plans or the plans of other medical schemes are accurate and substantiated. Pricing reflected on this platform is generally available in the market and medical scheme plans are compared on a yearly basis that they offer substantially similar cover. The information is only intended to give you an indication of the projected contributions payable on Plans and to provide you with a high-level benefit summary for a range of Plans that may be appropriate for you. The information reflected does not take into account any possible waiting periods or late-joiner penalties that the Scheme may impose. These will only be assessed once you submit your application.
By submitting this request, you consent to providing your personal information to Discovery Connect and you give Discovery Connect permission to instruct a registered representative to contact you to conduct an appropriate needs analysis for you. The representative will also discuss the different Comparable Plans available to you in detail and help you to complete and submit your membership application to the Scheme, should you wish to pursue this route.
