How do I link my Luno account in the Discovery Bank app?
From December 2025, you'll be able to link your Luno account in the Discovery Bank app to seamlessly transfer funds, track and trade cryptocurrencies.
Simply:
- Log in to your Discovery Bank app.
- Tap Accounts - scroll down and tap Add Account - then Luno
- Then follow the steps to link your account.
What cryptocurrencies can I invest in?
Through Discovery Bank's integration with Luno, you can access a selection of major cryptocurrencies including:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Ripple (XRP)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- And more - as available on Luno.
How do I fund my Luno account in the Discovery Bank app?
You can use your Discovery Bank account to transfer funds into your Luno wallet - directly through the banking app. Funds are transferred in real time and immediately available. Simply tap Transact > Transfer, select the account to transfer from and select Luno to transfer to.
Do I need to create a separate Luno account?
If you already have a Luno account, simply link it. If not, download the Luno app and create an account. Once your account is set up, you can seamlessly link it in your banking app.

Are there any fees?

Can I track my crypto performance in the Discovery Bank app?

From December 2025, this will be available to all South Africans aged 18 and over who have a qualifying Discovery Bank account and a Luno account

Yes, you'll automatically earn Vitality Money Savings points for crypto balances in your Luno account.
