Managing your cards is a breeze in our banking app. You can control where your card details are stored online - and even check which devices have them saved. So, take a few moments to ramp up your banking security and rein in your banking details to reduce risks.

Five powerful security features

Beyond advanced backend fraud systems, Discovery Bank gives clients powerful, easy-to-use tools to stay secure and in control. Here are five key features built for today's top threats:

• Biometric authentication
  Live selfie checks are required when linking new devices, blocking fraudsters even if credentials are stolen. Suspicious activity, like unusual transactions, also triggers biometric re-authentication on trusted devices.
• Persistent fraud warnings
  The Discovery Bank app alerts clients if they're on a call while banking, flags unusual activity, and clearly highlights transaction details during online purchases. Persistent banners remind clients to verify callers - creating key moments to stop fraud before it happens.
• Card and device management
  Clients can manage cards, linked devices and third-party subscriptions, pause or cancel cards, and set tailored spend limits for added security. These functions ensure clients stay in control of their cards themselves without needing to reach out to Discovery Bank support.
• Digital account vault
  Clients can hide accounts behind an additional security layer using a custom security code. The vault must be unlocked each time, keeping hidden accounts protected, even if a device is compromised, providing a strong second line of defence for sensitive financial information.
• Panic code
  Exclusive to Discovery Bank, the panic code empowers clients to protect themselves when they're under duress. If forced to unhide accounts, clients can enter the panic code instead of their security code. This silently alerts Discovery Bank, triggers real-time monitoring, and can notify law enforcement or dispatch armed response.

Ramp up your security

Are your accounts as secure as they should be? Run through this quick checklist to make sure you're protected and good to go in your banking app.

1. Control your in-app and email notifications:
   • Tap More on the home screen.
   • Tap Notifications under the Banking section.
   • Tap settings (gear icon).
2. Set up your security and panic codes:
   • Tap More and scroll to the Manage section.
   • Tap Account Security, then Activate.
   • Choose and confirm your security and panic codes.
3. Review and set your channel limits regularly:
   • Tap More and scroll to the Manage section.
   • Tap Channel Limits.

1. View linked digital wallets, devices, and subscriptions, and suspend or delete any you no longer need:
   • Tap Cards on the home screen.
   • Scroll to the relevant card.
   • Select Digital cards.
   • Tap a device (wallet) or subscription (card on file) to see details.
2. Track transactions by card or device to spot and stop fraud quickly:
   • Tap Cards.
   • Scroll to the relevant card.
   • Select Digital cards.
   • Tap a device (wallet) or subscription (card on file) to see transactions.
3. Tailor each card's spend limits for its purpose:
   • Tap Cards.
   • Scroll to the relevant card.
   • Select Card limits.
