Smart banking is all about smart service and security. We want you to always remain informed about what's happening with your account and to easily access updates from us. It's not only convenient for you, but it's safer too!

With notifications being thoughtfully built into the Discovery Bank app, you stay protected. You can be sure that the notifications you read are legitimate and come from us, that you won't receive any malicious links, and you'll even get tips to manage your money better.

Turn on your smartphone's push notifications

You must turn on your phone's notifications to get account prompts, authenticate your transactions and receive important information about your accounts from us.

To give you peace of mind and make your life convenient, we store and categorise all notifications that we send to you so you always have access to them on the Discovery Bank app. You'll also see all your in-app authorisation notifications, which lets you track all your online transactions.

For certain transactions you make, we send notifications to your smartphone for you to authorise the transactions. We do this to keep you safe and let you track your spending.

How to switch on notifications

Remember to always have the latest version of the Discovery Bank app on your phone and switch on notifications in your phone's settings. Here's how to do it:

iOS

1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Go to Notifications.
3. Find and tap on Discovery Bank.
4. Turn notifications on.

Android

1. On your smartphone's home screen, open Settings.
2. Tap Apps, Applications, or Applications Manager.
3. Find and tap on Discovery Bank.
4. Tap on Show Notifications if it's not on already.

HUAWEI AppGallery

1. On your smartphone's home screen, open Settings.
2. Tap on Notifications.
3. Find and tap on Discovery Bank.
4. Set the slider to Allow Notifications.
