For the first time, Discovery Bank clients can bypass the ballot and secure their place in the 2027 Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD, through an exclusive 72-hour early access period from 28 to 31 July 2026.

Early access gives qualifying clients access to a limited allocation of entries before they become available through the public ballot process. With demand for the event continuing to exceed available entries, early access offers runners a valuable opportunity to secure their place in one of South Africa's most iconic running events.

From the vibrant Night Run and International Friendship Run to the rugged Trail Run, scenic half-marathon and iconic ultra-marathon, the weekend of the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD offers an unforgettable running experience. Set against the stunning backdrop of Cape Town, participants can enjoy spectacular ocean views, dramatic mountain scenery, winding coastal roads and awe-inspiring natural landscapes every step of the way.

Entries are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the entry allocation is sold out, early access will end.

The route to your race entry

From 28 to 31 July 2026, qualifying clients can secure their race entry via the official Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD landing page by following these simple steps:

1. You can access the race entry ticket here
2. Enter your South African ID number, or your passport number if you are a foreign national with a qualifying Discovery Bank account.
3. The details you enter must match those on your Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON profile.
4. Complete your race registration details.
5. Complete payment to secure your entry (limited to one entry per account).

Who qualifies for early access?

Clients with an active Discovery Bank Suite, Credit Card Account, Transaction Account or Ðiscovery Account qualify for early access.
