Discovery sponsors the Surfers Challenge
This unique race has a proud history dating back to 1974, and was born from some friendly rivalry between local athletes and surfers who frequented the same watering hole in East London.
The Discovery Surfers Challenge is a 17.5 km race that has become an institution in East London. Paddlers, Walkers and Runners compete against each other for the prestigious winner’s T-shirt.
The event focuses on healthy competition, but also gives the whole family a chance to take part in Paddling, Walking and Running. With a newly introduced 10 km and a 5 km (U14) Junior Race this sponsorship property caterers for all ages and fitness levels.
