Protecting your personal information
With the introduction of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) we now encrypt all documents that contain personal information. To open these documents, you will use your identity number or date of birth. If we do not have your correct details, you won't be able to open these password protected documents.
Notifying you when important information is available
We acknowledge that our investors have different communication preferences and needs. With this in mind, we will send you an email and SMS notification when important communication is available on your investment. This includes, but is not limited to, policy anniversary, maturity and fund changes. If we do not have your most recent contact details, then you might miss out on these notifications.
Restricting transactions
Over the past couple of years, we have shared our Anti money laundering risk rating and verification process on different platforms with you. Clients who have not provided us with this information might have restrictions on transactions; this means that clients will not be able to transact on policies where we do not have all the required information.
The new digital world and client journey
We are moving into a digital world where we are offering online transacting. As a security measure we have a client consent step in the process to ensure that you, as a client, approve the transaction.
How to update your details
You can easily update your information through our Discovery app or website. You can also complete a Request to change details form available from your financial adviser.
