Evolution of the Vitality HealthyFood benefit this September

On 1 September 2024, the Vitality HealthyFood benefit will be updated to include Checkers and Checkers Sixty60 alongside Woolworths in store and online, Woolies app and Woolies Dash. Sadly, we'll be saying farewell to Pick n Pay as a HealthyFood partner.

The new HealthyFood benefit will enable you to get rewarded at Checkers and Woolworths for in-store purchases, and Checkers Sixty60 and Woolworths online, Woolies app and Woolies Dash for online shopping. Watch out for communication in September with more information. You don't need to do anything right now. As a Discovery Bank Black Suite client, your maximum reward for HealthyFood will be 50% back on your first R2,500 spend as a single Vitality member (increased from R2,000) and R5,000 spend as a family (increased from R4,000).

You'll continue to earn rewards on items you purchase at Pick n Pay and Pick n Pay asap! until 31 August 2024 - those rewards will be paid to you in September. You'll continue to spend your Ðiscovery Miles at Pick n Pay by choosing them as a reward option in the Vitality Mall.

In the meantime, make sure you do your Vitality Health Check and Vitality Age assessment to maximise your rewards. You can find more detailed information on how to manage your HealthyFood benefit here.

For example, when you spend your Ðiscovery Miles in the Vitality Mall, you can redeem a coffee reward for only 200 Ðiscovery Miles (R20) instead of R36 or a smoothie reward for only 300 Ðiscovery Miles (R30) instead of R50. Plus, because you earned Ðiscovery Miles with your healthy habits, it can feel as if you're paying nothing at all.

What's more, as a new feature to the Vitality Mall, discover a new #RewardsWednesday deal every week in the Discovery app. Visit the Vitality Mall in the Discovery app every Wednesday to redeem the offer. Check your app early because this reward is offered on a first come, first served basis (limited to 1 per person).
