Important updates to your Vitality Health policy

 

At Vitality, we are here to help you to lead a healthier lifestyle and get rewarded along the way. To ensure we continue fulfilling this commitment, we have introduced updates to your Vitality Health policy. Please take note of the important changes outlined below.

Vitality gym benefit update

As a Vitality Health member, you can save up to 75% on your monthly gym fees at Virgin Active or Planet Fitness. All you need to do is to visit the gym at least 36 times in a rolling 12-month period, that's just three times every month!

We know that with life's challenges, there are times when you are not able to visit the gym as often. So, when you go to the gym fewer than 36 times in a rolling 12-month period, your gym fee discount drops to 50%. You can catch up on your gym visits and get back up to the maximum gym fee discount.

Please note that Vitality reserves the right to deactivate your Vitality gym benefit if you are not able to go to gym for a prolonged period, however, we will notify you first. You will have the option to re-activate your gym benefit when you are ready to go back to the gym.

Saving your receipts for cash back queries

Vitality gives you, our members, some of the best and biggest rewards available. These include HealthyCare personal care items from Dis-Chem and Clicks, HealthyFood from Woolworths and Pick n Pay and HealthyBaby items from Baby City and Toys R Us. That's a lot of transactions, millions per month! Sometimes, electronic systems can miss a transaction reaching us. So, here's our solution to make sure you make the most of your rewards.

Did you know that keeping your receipt can make a huge difference in whether you receive your rewards?

At Vitality, we require you to keep your receipts for 60 working days after purchase in case you have a query and need to submit it. We want to ensure that our rewards programme is fair for everyone, and having a receipt helps us verify your purchases and award the appropriate rewards for your qualifying purchases.

So keep those receipts and make sure you check your rewards bank account or Discovery Miles statements every month.

Important to know:
The following types of receipts do not qualify you for rewards:

  1. Receipts that have been tampered with in any way, such as receipts that have been photoshopped, photocopied, written on with a pen, or those that have pencil marks.
  2. Receipts created by a partner employee for purchases you did not buy.
  3. Blank images with no receipts in view.
  4. Very unclear or blurry images.
  5. Information missing from the receipt which includes the partner's name and loyalty card number. We require a full receipt with all information (no information that is cut off or missing from the slip).
  6. Receipts submitted for the incorrect partner. This is when the receipt you submit does not match the selected partner or is for an establishment that is not a partner.
  7. We will not accept a bank statement in place of a receipt.

This is important to ensure that you qualify for rewards and that your good behaviour is recognised. So, the next time you make a purchase, make sure to hold onto your receipt until you receive your Discovery Miles or cash back.

Quit Genius will no longer be a Vitality partner

Please be aware from June 2023 you will no longer be able to access the Quit Genius programme through Vitality. Our partnership with Allen Carr and GoSmokeFree will continue to help you stop smoking.
