Updates to HealthyCare rewards in 2026

Catalogue refinement

As part of our ongoing catalogue refinement and relevance process the following changes are being made;

Schedule 1 and 2 medications will no longer be included in the HealthyCare catalogue. Schedule 0 medications will remain included, and you can continue to access Schedule 1 and 2 medications through your qualifying Discovery Health Medical Scheme benefits.
Fitness devices and fitness equipment will no longer be included in the HealthyCare catalogue.

Late transactions

Occasionally members need to manually submit HealthyCare transactions to query their rewards. Please note that in 2026 you will have a maximum of 3 months to submit these transactions in order to receive your rewards. This is only necessary when there is a reason for the transaction not coming through to us automatically. You do not need to submit till slips if you do not have a query.
We will also only consider transactions submitted from partners within 3 months of spend date. Backdated or late transactions greater than 3 months will no longer be eligible for rewards.

Calculating rewards

Each member on your policy will need to spend more than R200 at Clicks or Dis-Chem (either online or instore) in order to receive HealthyCare rewards for that month.
HealthyCare rewards will be calculated in the order you make your qualifying purchases. This replaces the current system, which calculates rewards based on the main member's spend first, then spouse, adult dependents, and child dependents over the age of 18.
