What is the Virtual Health Check-in?
The Virtual Health Check-in is a 20-minute online consultation that uses your Vitality Age information, previous Vitality Health Check results and other available information to help you:
- Eat more healthily
- Improve fitness
- Improve mental wellbeing
- Suggest appropriate referrals for any potential risks
- Identify COVID-19 risks, benefits and steps to limit exposure
- And more
If you are over the age of 65, the consultation will also help:
- Identify falls risk

Need to know
- The Virtual Health Check-in costs R161.10.
- The Virtual Health Check-in does not replace your in-person Health Check. If you choose to you can still visit a pharmacy or your GP to do an in-person Health Check.
- If you are a member of a medical scheme administered by Discovery Health, you are covered for one Virtual Health Check-in every year from you Screening and Prevention Benefit - it won't impact your day-to-day benefits (if you are in a general waiting period, your medical scheme does not cover this).
- The Virtual Health Check-in can only be completed by booking your appointment online.
