Broker earns over R23,000 additional service fee in just five months

 

Vitality Drive for Business gives clients great value for driving well. This includes earning up to 30% of their vehicle premiums back, weekly driver rewards and up to 50% discount on tyre purchases and other services.

To get these and many more benefits with Vitality Drive for Business, clients need to actively engage with the programme by, for example:

  • Installing a telematics device in each of their vehicles
  • Providing us with the details of their drivers and vehicle manager.

We appreciate the value you add to help your clients get started on the Vitality Drive for Business programme and stay engaged. As such, Discovery Telematic Services offers you a service fee for helping your clients engage in the programme. You can earn this service fee in addition to the normal commission you earn on the business you write.

Service fee offered

You can earn the service fee as follows:

  • An upfront fee of R100 for every vehicle that gets a valid score for the first time
  • Up to 5% of the vehicle premium monthly for every vehicle that gets a valid score for that month. The monthly fee is based on the vehicle's Vitality Drive status as follows:

Below we share the story of how one of our brokers managed to earn a high service fee in just five months.

For the period from January to May 2022, the broker earned R23,183.43 total service fee. This is made up of R2,100 as the upfront fee they earned for every vehicle that got a valid score for the first time, plus R21,083.43 as the monthly service fee.

How to sign up for the broker service fee

You must follow the process below to sign up for the service fee:

  • Complete a contract with Discovery Telematic Services (DTS) and attach the following supporting documents:
    • Latest Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) documents, showing the current active company directors
    • Proof of banking details
    • Proof of VAT registration
  • The service fee contract is available from the key Discovery relationship manager with the broker house.
  • Once signed, you can send the contract and supporting documents to Intermediary_Contract_Queries@discovery.co.za .
  • We will keep you updated on the progress and will let you know when the contract has been finalised.
