Let's help more people get active, one pair of sports shoes at a time
A good pair of sports shoes is the gift that keeps on giving, and keeps everyone moving forward together. You can now donate your Ðiscovery Miles to Afrika Tikkun through Vitality MoveToGive and give more people the gift of movement.
Last year Discovery Vitality teamed up with Afrika Tikkun and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture to collect new or gently used sports shoes for people who need it most. To date, we've given the gift of movement to over 3,800 beneficiaries and counting.
But the movement doesn't stop there. From as little as Ð250 (R25) or the price of a coffee, you can donate towards giving someone in need a good pair of shoes.
How can you help?
From 10 February until 24 March 2026, you can donate your Ðiscovery Miles to our official beneficiary partner Afrika Tikkun through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app or Discovery Bank app.
- For 250 Ðiscovery Miles, you can donate towards a pair of sports shoes for a person in need through Vitality's Give2Move initiative and Afrika Tikkun.
- For 750 Ðiscovery Miles, you can help an elderly person walk safely without fear of falling. Donate towards a pair of comfortable sports shoes for better balance and healthy feet through Vitality's Give2Move initiative and Afrika Tikkun.
- For 2,500 Ðiscovery Miles, you can help restore a person's mobility and dignity. Donate towards a pair of comfortable sports shoes for a person living with a disability through Vitality's Give2Move initiative and Afrika Tikkun.
How to donate
In your Discovery app
Select Vitality MoveToGive under Top Deals in the Vitality Mall in the Discovery app.
Here's how:
- Log into the latest version of the Discovery app.
- Scroll down and tap on Vitality Mall.
- Select Vitality Move to Give under Top Deals.
- Choose a donation level and tap confirm
In your Discovery Bank app
Select Vitality MoveToGive as an instant reward option in the Discovery Bank app.
Here's how:
- Log in to your banking app.
- Scroll down and select Vitality Active Rewards.
- Select Instant Rewards.
- Choose the MoveToGive option.
- Tap Get your instant reward and select Confirm.
