That’s why this holiday season, Vitality MoveToGive and Reel Life are giving you the chance to give the sustainable gift of nutrition and food gardening education to underprivileged schools across Gauteng.
From 19 December 2018 until 22 January 2019, you can donate an educational gardening kit to selected underprivileged schools across Gauteng to get them learning and growing in January 2019 and onwards. Each Learn and Grow Kit is an educational gardening kit which includes a raised garden pod, fertilizer, seed, watering can, weed guard, a teacher’s resource guide and a set of activities that are all connected to the CAPS curriculum for Grade 1 to 9. All kits will be distributed in January to start off the new school year.
The Learn and Grow Kits make it incredibly easy for school children to plant and grow their own vegetables successfully at school and learn about nutrition, which not only helps them take control of their own health and food security, but also helps instill a sense of responsibility and patience.
