Cotlands is a non-profit organisation that aims to help create a more equal and prosperous society by focusing on the early development of vulnerable children.
Studies have shown that children who experience high quality play-based early learning opportunities during the first five years of life have the advantage of acquiring the skills they need to succeed in school, work and life.
The Cotlands programmes are designed to ignite potential through play by enhancing children's social-emotional development as well as their cognitive skills, which include creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving.
How can you help? From 28 March 2024 until 10 May 2024, you can donate your Ðiscovery Miles to Cotlands through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app or Discovery Bank app.
Play your gameboard to help children learn through play!
Achieve your weekly exercise, drive or spend goals through Vitality Active Rewards to earn Ðiscovery Miles. You can then donate your Ðiscovery Miles to Cotlands through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app:
- For 250 Ðiscovery Miles, you can donate a sensory toy to a baby to help stimulate early learning and brain development with Cotlands.
- For 750 Ðiscovery Miles, you can donate a nutritious lunch for a child at the Cotlands Early Learning Playgroup for a week.
- For 1,500 Ðiscovery Miles, you can donate an educational kit to assist with foundational literacy and numeracy in young children.
How to donate to Cotlands
- Activate Vitality Active Rewards in the latest version of the Discovery app.
- Achieve your exercise, drive or spend goals to earn a play on the gameboard.
- Pick a tile on the gameboard to reveal Ðiscovery Miles.
- Spend your Ðiscovery Miles on Vitality MoveToGive charity donations.
