MoveToGive children with clubfoot the freedom to walk without limits

Every year in South Africa, at least 2,000 children are born with clubfoot, a common birth condition of the foot and ankle that affects one in every 500 children.
Clubfoot presents at birth and is highly treatable. However, if left untreated, children with clubfoot find it difficult to walk, leading to pain, discomfort, disability and isolation.
Steps Clubfoot Care is an award-winning non-profit support organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children born with clubfoot. Its mission is to offer every child born with clubfoot the brightest future imaginable by giving them access to treatment, corrective care, education and the opportunity to contribute to their communities.
How can you help?
From 3 March 2025 to 11 April 2025, you can donate your Ðiscovery Miles to Steps Clubfoot Care through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app or Discovery Bank app:
- For 200 Ðiscovery Miles, you can help prevent disability by providing early intervention and treatment for vulnerable children born with clubfoot.
- For 1,200 Ðiscovery Miles, , you can help prevent clubfoot recurrence by contributing towards the braces children need to protect their feet.
- For 2,400 Ðiscovery Miles, you can support the training of healthcare professionals to increase the capacity for clubfoot treatment in underserved areas.
Because early intervention and effective treatment is imperative for the happy and healthy development of children born with clubfoot. Together, we can drastically change the trajectory of a child's future.
