Introducing Vitality Immediate Access
We're excited to announce that Vitality Immediate Access is now live. This means that your employees can start enjoying the benefits of Vitality immediately, without having to wait for the start date of their underlying Discovery Life or Discovery Health policy.
This enhanced onboarding journey allows qualifying Discovery Health members to enjoy free Vitality for the month they join, plus the next two months. This replaces the previous three-month free offer and includes immediate access, a feature not available before..
Our data shows that the sooner employees can access Vitality, the higher their engagement with the programme. With Vitality Immediate Access, we've seen an 80% improvement in engagement within the first month of membership.
Please note that Vitality Immediate Access does not apply to backdated Discovery Health or Discovery Life policies. However, members with backdated policies still enjoy two months of free Vitality.
To illustrate, if an employee joins Vitality through their Discovery Health policy on 5 February 2024 and backdates their policy to 1 February 2024, they can enjoy Vitality's benefits immediately and will qualify for free Vitality for February and March 2024. They will start paying premiums in April 2024. However, if the employee joins on 5 February 2024 with a start date of 1 March 2024, they will get immediate access and qualify for free Vitality for the rest of February, as well as March and April 2024.
To support higher engagement levels, we send prompts on WhatsApp to new members to assist them in activating their benefits. Please ensure that your employees' cellphone details are correctly captured so that these messages reach them, and they can start living life with Vitality from day one.
