Discovery Vitality: Everything you need to know for 2027 

Get excited for an enhanced Vitality HealthyWeight programme with doctor-led GLP-1 support, more flexible fitness and gym benefits, expanded sleep rewards and more ways to earn and spend Ðiscovery Miles.

Your Vitality monthly membership contributions for 2027: 

For any additional in-programme costs, including Vitality Health Check, Vitality Health Check for 65+, Vitality Fitness Assessment, Vitality Functional Assessment, Vitality's HealthyWeight programme, gym fees and Vitality Travel booking fees, the updated rates will be available on our website from 1 January 2027.

1. More ways to earn, spend and make your Ðiscovery Miles go further 

From 1 November 2026, qualifying clients can earn up to 15% back in Ðiscovery Miles at Leroy Merlin, while Discovery Bank clients can shop with their Ðiscovery Miles at Tiger Wheel & Tyre from November and at Superbalist from 2027. Bob Shop will leave the partner network from 1 December 2026.  Learn more

In 2027, all Vitality members will receive their HealthyCare rewards at Dis-Chem and HealthyBaby rewards at Babies R Us, Toys R Us and Dis-Chem Baby City in Ðiscovery Miles.

2. Vitality Travel accommodation and car hire updates  

Aligned with your Vitality Travel flight discounts, in 2027 you will be required to complete a Vitality Age assessment and Vitality Health Check to get up to 25% off accommodation and car hire. 

3. Updates to Oura Ring billing 

Members on the fully funded Vitality Oura Ring benefit will soon receive communication about billing. In 2027, weekly sleep goals achieved will be used to determine the amount payable each month. Remember, your weekly sleep goal completion is based on your Vitality Sleep Score, not the sleep score on your device. Further information will be communicated directly to affected members. 4. HealthyLiving benefit updates 

• Vitality HealthyBaby reward updates 

 From 2027, each adult on your Vitality membership must complete both a Vitality Age assessment and Vitality Health Check every 12 months to maximise their own HealthyBaby reward percentage. HealthyBaby rewards will be calculated on a first received, first rewarded basis, with qualifying transactions rewarded in the order Vitality receives them from partners. You'll also need to spend at least R200 a month on qualifying items at each partner to earn HealthyBaby rewards, with existing monthly spend limits still applying. Read more 

• A new way to access GoSmokeFree 

The way you access GoSmokeFree is changing. The current GoSmokeFree offering through Clicks will end on 31 December 2026. From 2027, GoSmokeFree will transition to a virtual offering, giving you convenient access to professional consultations wherever you are, at a reduced Vitality rate.

• Vitality's HealthyDining benefit is coming to an end 

We regularly review our benefits to ensure they remain relevant. The Vitality HealthyDining benefit will end on 1 January 2027. 

5. More ways to earn Vitality points in 2027 

• Earn Vitality points for Hybrid Race Events 

You can earn Vitality fitness points by participating in recognised hybrid race events, including HYROX and others. Depending on the event format, you can earn up to 1,500 Vitality fitness points per event or per day, with all points contributing towards the yearly maximum of 25,000 Vitality fitness points.

• Earn points for vaccinations 

We're expanding the range of preventative health activities that qualify for Vitality points. If you're aged 50 or older, you can earn 1,000 Vitality points once per lifetime for receiving the Shingrix vaccine. Pregnant members who have activated Vitality Baby can earn 1,000 Vitality points once per lifetime for receiving the maternal RSV vaccine. We've also added Bexsero (meningitis B) to the list of childhood vaccinations that qualify for Vitality points.  

As part of these changes, Vitality points will no longer be awarded for completing the Diabetes Score. 

6. Team Vitality membership rates
