Cover for GPs
To make the most out of your medical aid plan, it's advisable to use a GP within your plan's network.
Cover for medicine
Use a network pharmacy to enjoy full cover and avoid co-payments when claiming for chronic medicine on the medicine list.
Specialist cover in-hospital
For planned hospital admissions (not emergency admissions) specialists that are Designated Service Providers (DSPs) will be covered in full. If we do not have a payment arrangement with the specialist, we will cover the accounts up to the agreed rate.
Specialist cover out-of-hospital
You are not restricted to using a specialist within your network, if your plan covers out-of-hospital specialist visits and the consultation consultation will be covered up to 100% of the Discovery Health Rate.
Cover in the Day Surgery Network
The Discovery Day Surgery Network provides national coverage for a range of planned, medical procedures that can be performed on a same day basis.
Emergency Care
