Support Gift of the Givers' Nelson Mandela Bay relief efforts through Vitality MoveToGive

The Gift of the Givers Foundation has called on South Africans to help bring relief to residents of the Eastern Cape who have been severely affected by the water crisis.

As the water crisis of 'day zero' looms, we need to consider its effects on daily living for the community.

"Gift of the Givers has provided substantial support but, without public generosity, clinics, hospitals, schools, old age homes, similar institutions, and many communities are going to face the challenges of water deprivation including thirst, inability to consume medication, infection and contamination." says Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, Gift of the Givers founder.

Rising to the call for urgent disaster relief, Discovery Vitality members can now donate their Discovery Miles to Gift of the Givers through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app.

Help Nelson Mandela Bay residents with your Discovery Miles

Get active, drive well or spend responsibly through Vitality Active Rewards to earn Discovery Miles. You can then donate your Discovery Miles to Gift of the Givers through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app:

• For 160 Discovery Miles, you can donate 5Ls of water to a vulnerable person affected by the water crisis in Nelson Mandela Bay.
• For 500 Discovery Miles, you can donate towards the daily running of a water tanker to supply the communities most impacted by the Nelson Mandela Bay water crisis.
• For 2,000 Discovery Miles, you can donate towards the building of water storage and purification systems at Gqeberha Provincial Hospital.

The funds raised will be matched by the Discovery Fund, up to a maximum of R500, 000.00. In addition, the Discovery Fund will be funding a borehole at Gqeberha Provincial Hospital through Gift of the Givers.

Donate your Discovery Miles to the Gift of the Givers Foundation using the Discovery app.
