VITALITY ACTIVE GEAR HAS ARRIVED: YOUR NEXT EVOLUTION IN FITNESS GEAR

Vitality members can now save 25% upfront on a range of sports gear and equipment through our new benefit. Plus, save 50% on qualifying fitness devices and Nike performance apparel and footwear.

We know that exercise really is the best medicine, so Discovery Vitality is enhancing our fitness gear benefit to give you access to the best fitness gear and technology.

Vitality Active Gear benefit will be replacing the HealthyGear and Fitness Booster benefits (Shoe Booster, Device Booster, Bike Booster and Huawei Device Booster).

The last transactions that qualify for rewards will be on 6 April 2021 (remember to use your HealthyGear card until then), and anyone currently on a fitness booster benefit will continue to receive their rewards. If you have activated the Shoe or Device Booster, you need to give your Healthygear card to the cashier when purchasing your boosted item to complete the booster activation (even if this is after 6 April 2021).

Introducing Vitality Active Gear

• It's easy to save 25%... Activate Vitality Active Rewards on the Discovery app for a 10% upfront discount with Vitality Active Gear. Then, find out your Vitality Age online and complete a Vitality Health Check or Virtual Vitality Health check-in to increase the discount to 25%.
• How much more you save on your Vitality Active Gear is up to your fitness activity.
• To get to 50% off Fitness devices and Nike performance footwear and apparel... achieve those weekly Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals.

Whatever your discount, go to the Discovery app, select your Vitality Active Gear reward in the Discovery app and give it to the cashier to get your upfront discount. The discount applies to the first R2 000 you spend on qualifying sports gear and equipment in our catalogue every month.

Good news: the Vitality Active Gear benefit will be a reward feature on the Discovery app; making it very easy to view and use your upfront discount. This means you will no longer need to use a HealthyGear card or any other card. Also, when redeeming your Vitality Active Gear reward on Vitality Active Rewards, you simply select at which retail partner the upfront discount for that month should apply.

You can save from 10% to 50% upfront on the latest qualifying Fitbit, Garmin, Huawei, Polar, Samsung or Suunto heart rate fitness devices from Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports. And save from 10% to 50% upfront on qualifying Nike performance footwear or apparel at Nike stores, Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports stores around the country (excluding Nike Factory stores and Nike.com).

The discount applies to the first R4 000 of the retail price of a fitness device, R2 000 of the retail price of a pair of Nike shoes, or R1 000 for Nike performance apparel. Your clients can generate rewards of up to R6000 worth of spend every 52 weeks.

How to get bigger discounts with Vitality Active Rewards

By getting active and achieving your weekly Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals, you can increase your discount up to 50%. Your discount increases by 5% for every five Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals you achieve. You don't need to achieve your exercise goals in a row to get the discount. We will look back to 1 January 2021 to calculate your exercise goals. From 2022 we will always look back 52 rolling weeks.

Once you've chosen your reward in the Discovery app, your Vitality Active Rewards goals tally resets to 0 and you can build it up again towards your next discount.
